Another Video....sorry!

So, I know I'm becoming one of those parents who can't seem to stop showing their babies off, but I actually think this one TRULY worth posting. I was in the bathroom doing my hair the other day, and I could hear the girls playing out in the living room. There was this hilarious belly-laugh, that I was certain was Ashlin so I went out to see what was so funny. Instead of finding Ash laughing, this is what I found:

This is the hardest I've EVER heard Jamison laugh! He just LOVES Kenzi. I think it's so cute that she takes such good care of him at such a young age. She just takes charge of the younger kids when I'm not right there, and she's really quite good at it. I can't wait till they are all a little bit older and can play together. I can tell that they're all going to be best friends!

{{A Dream Come True!}}

Ever since I was a tiny little girl, I have wanted to live in my Grandma's little farmhouse in Millville, Utah. As a kid, I thought it was just so cool! My Grandpa (who was an EXTREMELY inventive man) had built all sorts of little nooks and crawl spaces into the walls that I used to call "secret passage-ways" and my cousins and I would spent hours hiding and exploring in the house. It's on a huge piece of farmland, complete with a barn, a garden, a pasture (which used to be home to the cows,) and a cute little stream-like ditch running through the front yard with a little bridge over it. The original part of the house was built by my great-great-great grandmother, who migrated to Utah with the mormons from Sweden in the mid 1800s and the house has been in the family ever since. I remember begging my grandpa to leave the house to me when they were gone, and he would always rub his chin or scratch his head and think hard when I would request this. But, ovbiously, the house was left to the family where it can provide money for the trust fund. They rent the house out to locals, and the money goes to the trust where it is then divided among my mom and her brothers and sisters.

My cousin (and best friend in the whole wide world) Chelsea and her family have been renting it for the past year, but they just recently purchased a new home in Hyrum (it's so cute!) When I found out they were moving out, I got all excited and told Trev how bad I want to move there. He would just kind of chuckle at me. Our lives are here in Orem....his job, his school, his family, our friends, my family is just 40 mins away. This is where we are. Then, Chelsea gave me some new info: they were building a brand new Walgreens in Logan, just about 10 minutes away from the house. Then I got thinking about Utah State University, and about living close to Chels again, and the fact that I do actually have a lot of family up there. I persuaded Trevor to put in for a transfer up to the new store.

We've been waiting for over a month to find out, but as of today.....

WE"RE MOVING!!

I cannot tell you how excited I am! Here are a few pictures of the house (I stole these from my Aunt Rose's blog. They were posted like two years ago, so it's not quite like this anymore.)

I plan to paint a red accent wall either where the blue is, or the front wall with the door. The rest of the walls are toupe.

We're going to put up a fence and put in a big swing set for the kids. Maybe they'll let us tear down this ugly shed too....?

I HATE the way the outside of the house is painted right now, so I'm planning to paint the green parts tan, the shutters and front door black, and the window trim white.

I also plan to change to blue kitchen walls to a dark red, and antique the white cupbords (either stain them around the edges to give them an antique feel, or paint them black and sand the edges, giving them a more primitve feel.) Opinions??

I'll replace the old cupboard hardware with some rooter knobs.

And see those blue and white bird tiles on the backsplash thing on the island counter? I'm putting these (in copper instead of silver) over top of the existing tiles while we live there:

I don't have any pictures, but there is a large bedroom upstairs on the second floor for Kenz and Ash to share, another bathroom, and a big loft for a playroom and hangout area. There is also a sort of basement cellar made of cement. It's pretty creepy (I was always afraid of it as a kid) but it'll be great for our food storage and some of our other things we want out of the way.

Can you tell I'm a little over excited??

We move in the first week of September!

4th of July - Moody Style!

So, the 4th of July is kind of a big deal in our family. We were so excited for like a month before the day actually came! This is how our super-fun weekend went:

On Friday morning we packed up the car, picked up Kaitlan, stopped at McDonald's for breakfast, and headed down south to Delta. This is where Trev's mom grew up, and the whole entire Moody clan gets together for a kind of reunion. We barely made the tee-time for Trev to play 9 holes of golf with Dad, Tyler, and some of the other uncles and cousins. We dropped him off at the course and drove to the motel where Mom and Dad were staying. A word to the wise: unless you enjoy light bulbs that don't turn on, the smell of mold, leaky ceilings, and decor that hasn't been updated since the 60's - DON'T stay in the Rancher Motel when staying in Delta!

The kids colored and played for a bit while we waited to check into the hotel we were staying in.

We toured Delta, went to some museums, ate pizza, and then finally checked into the Days Inn. Ahhhhh! Much nicer.
The rest of the afternoon was spent swimming in the hotel pool, which by the way, Jamison LOVED! Of course I left my camera in the hotel room, so there are no pictures of this.

The next morning, the cannons went off at 6am to wake the town up. We didn't get ready till a bit later though. We grabbed some breakfast and headed to the parade! It's compeletly directed towards children, and it's such a blast.

After the parade, we went to the local reservoir for a full day of boating. Once again, I left my camera behind but that's okay because there is no proof that after two summers of being pregnant,I could not for the life of me get up on my knee board. We did get totally fried by the sun though!

Trevor's parents and little brothers and sisters had to leave after that, but Megan and Lloyd and we stayed and extra day. Kait and Tyler got to stay a little bit longer too, and then rode home with my parents that night. (My parents have no traditions really for the 4th, so we invited them to join us in Delta this year.)

We ate at Leo's cafe. Yummy!

Then we went over to the Delta "hospital" (more like a glorified insta-care) and spread our blankets out to watch the fireworks.

I brought along a ton of glow sticks and candy and firework stuff to have while we were there.

We didn't do our sparklers or anything till the next evening once we got home. All in all, a great 4th of July!

Jamison Update:

It's been a while since I've posted much of anything about Baby J. He certainly does keep me busy! I must say, it is definitely different having a baby boy this time instead of a girl - but it is SO MUCH FUN!! He's just so sweet and has so much love (especially for the mama!)

A few of Jamison's latest developments:

1. He's getting a lot better at tummy time. And he loves having a little help sometimes with the boppy pillow. He's able to see a lot more this way.

2. Toys are serious business now. No, he doesn't laugh or giggle at these fun objects; he concentrates and growls at them.

3. He finally enjoys his prince lionheart chair. It's taken him a while to get used to the idea, but now he'll gladly sit in it if he has something interesting to watch. Which brings us to the next item on our list....

4. He loves to watch "Baby Signing Time." I start my kids watching this at 3 months old, but Baby J hasn't really been into it until now (about 4 months, can you believe it?!)

5. We're not sure why, but Jamison points his toes whenever he is lifted into the air. Perhaps it's a habit picked up from the mommy! These aren't the greatest pictures of it, but I'm telling you, this kid points and turns out his feet like a little ballerina!

6. He is 100%, without a doubt, a mama's boy through and through! Where the girls were happy being held or played with by pretty much anyone, Jamison will not stand being in anyone else's arms for longer than a few minutes. And if I get out of his sight while he is with someone else, you better expect screaming! It's fun sometimes, but can get pretty exhausting too. He was happy, however, for a solid 5 minutes with Great Grandmother while she was visiting last week.

7. This kid growls louder than any baby I've ever heard! I know it's common, but he's SO loud when he does it. I'll have to see if I can get a good video of this.
