Our Happy Home

Sorry this has taken so long, but I've had a lot of people asking to see pictures of our new house. I had wanted to wait until it was all done and decorated, but that's obviously not going to happen, so I'm just going for it. Sorry, there are a ton of pics.

This picture was taken on our front porch. Our house is green with tan trim (and new windows! Yay!)

The living room:

View from living room back to dining and kitchen areas:Dining Room:The Kitchen:That giant thing in the corner with the rooster on top is my table-top-dishwasher that Chels loaned me since this old place didn't have one.My Laundry "Hallway":
Main floor bathroom:Jamison's Room:We're not done painting in this room yet.I {{LOVE}} his bedding.

*sigh*
The master bedroom is also on the main floor, but it's currently a disaster area, so you don't get to see that room =)

Heading upstairs to the "loft"

This is the kids' play area. They pretty much spend all day up here. Also in the loft is this sitting area with a window bench seat, which opens for great storage room! It's the perfect place to cuddle up with a good book and watch the snow fall. The computer is also in this part of the house. Here's my favorite part of the loft:This is where we let the kids watch their movies.

(Our other tv is downstairs in the living room armoire.)There's another bathroom up here too. It's not finished yet, but it's a work-in-progress =)The girls share the large bedroom upstairs.

Ashlin's bed:Kenzi's bed:

Well, that prett much sums it up. Sorry I don't have any exterior pictures, but I don't feel like braving the cold and trod through the snow today. I actually had a couple more to show, but Blogger is behaving badly tonight, and it won't work. I hate Blogger. Have I ever mentioned that before??

We LOVE Millville, and I hope we stay here for a long time! It's so beautiful up here, and the people are like family. Of course we miss you all, and sometimes get sad and wish we could see you more. This happens particularly on holidays and Sundays.

Hope you are all well!

Sooooo Big!!

Our little Jamie is growing up so fast!

Here are a few videos from the proud mamma and pappa =) They're a few weeks old, but I've been procrastinating putting them up because I hate loading to Blogger so much. Sorry, the last two are kinda dark.

Enjoy!

Gone Crazy Yet??

I wake up. It's 4:32am.
The baby's up again, wanting yet another feeding.
Fifth one tonight.
I walk down the hallway into his nursery and pick him up. He now weighs the same amount as his big sister....HEAVY. I sit in the rocking chair in his room and nurse for a few minutes before he's out again.
It's now 4:55 am. I can't can't go back to sleep.
I walk around the house for a few minutes before I decide to tackle the heaping pile of dishes in the sink. I pull on my trusty pink rubber gloves and fill the sink with scalding hot water and soap. I scrub for 40 minutes until my head is heavy again, and head back to my bedroom.
The alarm goes off.
Time for Trev to go to work.
The girls wake up at 7:30, wanting breakfast. I drag myself from my bed again to fill their bowls with yogurt and pop some toast into the toaster.
Jamison has a blowout diaper.
Kenzi has a bloody nose.
Ashlin wrote crayon on the wall upstairs.
Lunch.
12:00 noon.
Chelsea's here to pick Kenzi up for school.
HURRY!
Clothes on! Shoes on! Hair done!
Kiss goodbye.
Oh no! Forgot to send something for show and tell!
Run through the house and find something.
Got it.
Run and catch Chels to send it with Kenz.
Nap time for the babies.
Nevermind ~ Ash won't go down.
Laundry.
Dishes.
Make beds.
More dishes.
Pick up Kenzi and Shayde from school.
Baby's screaming. He's cutting his 4th tooth.
Make dinner while holding the baby.
Eat whatever dinner I've managed to scrape together.
More dishes.... sit on floor and wish I had a dishwasher.
Bathtime.
Jammies.
Prayer.
Kids go down....sort of.
Fold laundry.
do some dishes.
Can't sleep.
Sit and read.
Can't sleep.
Clean up living room.
Drifting off.......

Baby's awake,
first time tonight.......
I'm not sure why 3 is so much harder than two. Maybe I'm just a whiner. With just the girls I had one hand for each child. I think I might die with these 3. I'm actually pretty sure I'm already half-way dead. I stop to admire moms with more children than this.... I simply cannot imagine!

Fall Portraits 2009!

So, I really wanted to get some family pics done around Cache Valley so we could have memories of where we live. My friend Emily has a photography business and spent an evening with us snapping some cute pictures. It was an interesting couple of hours... Ashlin seems to be developing a real hate for cameras - screaming at every possible moment, the pics I wanted by the barn in our backyard didn't turn out that great, and the shoot ended with Jamison's shoe falling into the river and Trev having to retrieve it. Haha!
I have been simply dying to see how the pictures turned out. I still don't have them on a CD yet, but here are a few I lifted off her blog and edited... Auntie Em Photography. I can't wait to see the rest!

All that Glitters

So, I'm having this horrible craving for holiday decorations. I love them so much, but I'm on a tight budget at the moment. However, I'm starting to learn how to improvise and still satisfy my need without dropping hundreds at those stores where I've been going crazy lately (you know who you are, Hobby Lobby!) Instead, I'm making all my holiday decorations this year.
This was today's project:

Sparkly things make me happy inside.

It cost me exactly $1.87 to make - $.78 for the pumpkin, and $1.09 for the glitter (I cut the leaves off an autumn garland I already had.) Whoo! Go Me! Much to my disgruntlement, it only took me about 10 minutes to make. I had planned on it taking at least 40 minutes or so of crafty fun... oh well. Now, what shall I make tomorrow.......?

BOO!

I'm pretty sure this year's Halloween was my favorite ever! We started the day off making spooky cupcakes with Chels, Shayde and Tailan.Kenz and Shayde got really into it and worked hard to make the perfect cupcake.Ashlin and Tailan had different priorities. That's a pair of 2 year olds for ya!A few of the finished product.....(the rest had already met their demise.)Then we got all the kids dressed up in their awesome costumes and headed to the store for a little last-minute halloween shopping. Then we came home and got the house all ready to greet our trick or treaters. Mom and Dad came up to spend Halloween with us, and I made yummy tortilla soup and sparkling cider for dinner.
* side note: I forgot the sour cream for the soup, so I had to run and buy some right before we ate. I timed it from when I left till when I got back. Just to run to the nearest store, buy 1 item, and drive home takes about a half an hour up here! Dave and Trev took the kids trick or treating for a little while, but it was pretty cold, so they came back before too long with rosy cheeks and frozen, sticky fingers.
Our house was a hit with the trick or treaters. We had creepy music and sounds playing under the bridge as you walked up to our house. Paper lanterns lit the walk way back to our bonfire where the kids could warm up, get some candy and stickers, and have some hot chocolate. It was super fun. Next year will be even better! I love Halloween!!
